SCHOOL DISTRICT LEGAL STATUS

ASSURANCE OF COMPLIANCE

The Iberville Parish School Board adopts the following assurance compliance on non-discrimination as outlined by the Department of Education:

            HEREBY ASSURES COMPLIANCE with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (42 USC 2000d 4) and all requirements imposed by or pursuant to the Regulation of the Department of Health, Education, and Welfare (45 CFR Part 80) issued pursuant to that title, to the end that, in accordance with Title VI of that Act and the Regulation, no person in the United States shall on the ground of race, color, or national origin be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or otherwise be subjected to discrimination under any program or activity for which the Applicant receives Federal financial assistance from the Louisiana State Department of Education; and HEREBY AGREES THAT it will immediately take any measures necessary to effectuate this agreement.

            HEREBY ASSURES COMPLIANCE with Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 (20 USC 1681 et seq.) and all requirements imposed by or pursuant to the Regulation of the Department of Health, Education, and Welfare (45 CFR Part 86) issued pursuant to that title, to the end that, in accordance with Title IX of that Act and the Regulation, no person in the United States shall on the basis of sex be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or otherwise be subjected to discrimination under any program or activity for which the Applicant receives Federal financial assistance from the Louisiana State Department of Education; and HEREBY AGREES THAT it will immediately take any measures necessary to effectuate this agreement.

            HEREBY ASSURES COMPLIANCE with Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 (29 USC 794) and all requirements imposed by or pursuant to the Regulation of the Department of Health, Education, and Welfare (45 CFR Part 84) issued pursuant to that title, to the end that, in accordance with Section 504 of that Act and the Regulation, no person in the United States shall on the basis of handicap, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or otherwise be subjected to discrimination under any program or activity for which the Applicant receives Federal financial assistance from the Louisiana State Department of Education; and HEREBY AGREES THAT it will immediately take any measures necessary to effectuate this agreement.

            HEREBY ASSURES COMPLIANCE with The Age Discrimination Act (2 USC 6101 et. seq.) and all requirements imposed by or pursuant to the Regulation of the Department of Health Education, and Welfare (45 CFR Part 90) issued pursuant to that title, to the end that, in accordance with the Age Discrimination Act and the Regulation, no person in the United States shall on the basis of age, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or otherwise be subjected to discrimination under any program or activity for which the Applicant received Federal financial assistance from the Louisiana State Department of Education; and HEREBY AGREES THAT it will immediately take any measures necessary to effectuate this agreement.
