SCHOOL BUS INSURANCE

 

 

1.

Each bus operator must carry the minimum liability insurance for each school session as follows:

 

$ 500,000 - Single Limit Bodily Injury and Property Damage Coverage

 

$ 1,000 - Medical Coverage

 

2.

Each operator must furnish the Supervisor of Transportation with a certificate showing that insurance has been secured showing coverage for one full year.  This certificate shall be turned in by August 15 of each year.

 

3.

The School Board shall pay a pro-rata of the bus operators' liability insurance up to a maximum of $400.00 per year.
